Greetings,
Today I am writing with the intention of being understood. My blogs may vary from a few bullet points to a couple of sentence or even paragraphs (Even Videos). It is really important for me to share my knowledge and learn from my mistakes. "Practicing makes perfect", in other words, practicing something you want to get better at helps you improve those skills.
Why do I write?
As I was growing up, and still sometime do, I own journals which I write about events, experiences, and well you know things you only want to keep to yourself, like that one time I stole my mom's Almond Joy chocolate that had been in the fridge for almost a week. I love writing! Especially narratives... but I can go very detailed and well that makes my stories so long and I get told to make it shorter. I do understand not everyone likes to read a lot especially something that may not catch your interest or because there is not enough time.
Advice by Dr. Preston
1. SLOW DOWN
- "We only speak to improve on upon the silence" - Quaker
- Ask for help if helped is needed
- Be sure you are ready : ask yourself, "What am I trying to say?"
- Choose each word with care (proofread) & master your diction and syntax
stress ---> we usually change our breathing so... BREATHE
Science----> Craft ---> Art
research doing the experiment knowing in the moment
